Mini-Biography:
Born in Rye, New York, Jason Bateman started his career in the early 80’s with a role in “Little House on The Prairie.” From there, he went on to recur on “Silver Spoons,” followed by his own short-lived comedy “It’s Your Move” and “Valerie” (which changed its title numerous times to eventually “The Hogan Family”). Bateman also became the youngest director (at age 18) by Directors Guild of America for helming episodes of “The Hogan Family.” Other starring roles in TV series are “Simon,” “Chicago Sons,” “George & Leo,” and “Some of My Best Friends.” In 1987, he made his big screen debut with “Teen Wolf Too.”
In 2003, Bateman’s career took on a second life when he was cast in the cult-following “Arrested Development.” He also started appearing in more feature films, including “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” “The Kingdom,” “Juno,” “Hancock,” “Up in the Air,” “Couples Retreat,” “Paul,” “Horrible Bosses,” and “Identity Thief.”
Bateman also voiced Larry Littlejunk in “Sit Down, Shut Up” and is currently the narrator of NBC’s “Growing Up Fisher.”
