In 2014, SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes interviewed Jerry Springer about his unique career, his long-running daytime hit, and his then-new job as host of “Tabloid,” which was seen on Investigation Discovery.

Mini-Biography:

Born in Highgate, London, England, Jerry Springer has done a variety of occupations in his amazing career, which ranged from being the mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio to news anchor, actor, and musician. Of course, he is best known as the “king” of the tabloid talk show with his long-running daytime series, “The Jerry Springer Show.” Springer hosted ”America’s Got Talent” on NBC for two seasons, the dating game show “Baggage,” the Miss World 2000 and the Miss Universe 2008, as well as radio shows, including “Springer on the Radio.” In the UK, he hosted a British version of his American talk show called “Jerry Springer UK,” “Late Night with Jerry Springer,” and “Nothing But the Truth.” Between 2019-2022, Springer hosted the court series, “Judge Jerry.” He recorded a country music album called “Dr. Talk” and appeared as a contestant on “Dancing With The Stars.” He was an executive producer on “The Steve Wilkos Show,” a spinoff of his popular daytime talk show. Mr. Springer passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 79.
