In this 2009 interview with SIDEWALKS host Richard R. Lee, Summer talked about her work in “Firefly,” her favorite moments playing a female Terminator, and what future acting role she would like. The interview is also known for the hugs Richard got at the end of the interview, which was taped at the 2009 WonderCon convention.
Mini-Biography:
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Summer Glau is a popular actress, especially to fans in the sci-fi world.
Classically trained as a ballet dancer, Summer guest starred as a ballerina in a 2002 episode (“Waiting in the Wings”) of the TV series, “Angel.” That appearance led to a co-starring role as River Tam in short-lived, sci-fi/western series, “Firefly,” and later the big screen feature, “Serenity.” In 2006, she had a recurring role as Tess Doerner in “The 4400.” In 2008, Summer played female terminator Cameron Phillips for two seasons on “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Following that show, she was a regular on “The Cape.” Other guest-starring TV roles include “Cold Case,” “CSI:,” “The Unit,” “Dollhouse,” and “The Big Bang Theory” (as herself). Additionally, she appeared in movies “Sleepover,” “Mammoth” and “The Initiation of Sarah.”
