In this brief interview, the actor talks to SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes about getting into acting and his role as John Sculley, the man who “fired” Steve Jobs from the company he founded in the feature film, “Jobs,” co-starring Ashton Kutcher and Josh Gad.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Loma Linda, California, Matthew Modine is an actor, who has a long list of film credits. A notable role is playing Private/Corporal/Sergeant James T. “Joker” Davis, the lead character of Stanley Kubrick’s “Full Metal Jacket” (1987).

His first film role was in “Baby It’s You,” which led to “Vision Quest,” “Private School,” “Streamers,” “Mrs. Soffel,” and “Birdy.” Other highlights are: “Orphans,” “Married to the Mob,” “Memphis Belle,” “Cutthroat Island,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Funky Monkey.”

On TV, Modine was in “Hitler: The Rise of Evil,” “Too Big to Fail”; episodes of “Weeds”; guest starred in TV series “The West Wing” and “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit”; and was nominated for an Emmy® Award for “And the Band Played On” and “What the Deaf Man Heard.”

He made his feature directorial debut with “If… Dog… Rabbit.”
