SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes interviews filmmaker Michael Gunton about “One Life,” a feature film documentary — narrated by Daniel Craig — that celebrates the journey taken by all living things, from the moment they are born to delivering youngsters of their own. Additionally, Gunton talks about his other recent TV project, “Africa,” now on DVD and Blu Ray.
Mini-Biography:
Michael Gunton is currently the Creative Director of BBC Natural History Unit, a production unit dedicated to wildlife film-making.
Started his career in Natural History film-making over 20 years ago as a producer on “Trials of Life with David Attenborough,” Gunton has worked as a director on “Natural World,” “The Search for Our Ancestors” and “The Natural History of the Senses.”
As an executive producer, he was involved in the TV version of “Life,” “Steve Leonard’s Ultimate Killers,” “Life in the Undergrowth,” and “British Isles: a Natural History.”
In early 2013, BBC and Discovery Channel aired his wildlife and wild habitat series, “Africa.”
