In the full interview, SIDEWALKS ENTERTAINMENT’s Mika Abogado interviews the director actor making the late 19th century period piece, “Anna Karenina,” which stars Jude Law and Keira Knightley, whom Wright has worked with previously in “Pride & Prejudice” and “Atonement.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in London, England, Joe Wright is a director, whose first feature film as a director was “Pride & Prejudice,” where he won and was nominated for awards, including BAFTA’s Carl Foreman Award for Special Achievement by a British Director, Writer or Producer in Their First Feature Film and the London Critics’ Circle Film Award for British Director of the Year and the Boston Society of Film Critics’ award for Best New Filmmaker.
Other films as a director are ”Atonement,” “The Soloist,” and “Hanna,” which he promoted with actress Saoirse Ronan previously on Sidewalks Entertainment.
Additionally, he helmed the miniseries, ”Nature Boy” (for which he was a BAFTA Award nominee), the miniseries “Bodily Harm,” and episodes of the television series “Bob & Rose” (which won several international awards).
