SIDEWALKS ENTERTAINMENT’s Mika Abogado talks to the actor about his role as poet Mark O’Brien, a paralyzed man who wants to hired a sex surrogate (Helen Hunt) to lose his virginity, in “The Sessions.”

Mini-Biography:
Born in Alexandria, Minnesota, actor John Hawkes has had a successful career in both the TV and film mediums. He is known for playing roles on two HBO series:  as Sol Star in “Deadwood” and as Dustin Powers in “Eastbound & Down.” In 2011, Hawkes was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Supporting Actor in “Winter’s Bone.”  Other films include “Lincoln,” “The Perfect Storm,” “American Gangster,” “Contagion,” “Hardball,” “Me and You and Everyone We Know,”  “Wristcutters: A Love Story, and ”Martha Marcy May Marlene.”
