Interviewed by SIDEWALKS ENTERTAINMENT’s Mika Abogado, actor Chris Pine (“Star Trek”) and director Alex Kurtzman (“Transformers,” “Star Trek”) discuss the making of the film, “People Like Us.”
Born in Los Angeles, Chris Pine is an actor, whose parents — actors Robert Pine (“CHiPs”) and Gwynne Gilford — were in the business. He started his professional career in TV with guest roles in “ER,” “The Guardian,” and “CSI: Miami.” In 2009, he gained international fame as Captain Kirk in the rebooted “Star Trek” film series. Pine’s other highlighted roles include “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement,” “Just My Luck,” “ Smokin’ Aces,” “Unstoppable,” and “This Means War.”
Also born and raised in Los Angeles, Alex Kurtzman is a writer, producer and director in both television and feature films. He has been involved (as a writer and/or executive producer) in many Hollywood blockbusters, such as “The Legend of Zorro,” “Mission: Impossible III,” “Transformers,” “Star Trek,” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.” Kurtzman’s TV credits include “Fringe” (also co-created), “Alias,” “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” “Xena: Warrior Princess,” and the rebooted “Hawaii Five-0.”
