SIDEWALKS correspondent Mika Abogado interviews the actor / producer, who plays Armando Alvarez in “Casa de Mi Padre,” about his career and his favorite role he has played.
Born in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell is a popular comedic actor in films.
Ferrell became a household name as part of the cast of the long-running, NBC sketch comedy series, “Saturday Night Live.” On the show regularly from 1995 to 2002, some of his popular characters on the late night program included playing U.S. President George W. Bush, Chicago Cubs announcer Harry Caray, “Jeopardy” game show host Alex Trebek, singer Neil Diamond, and United States Attorney General Janet Reno.
He went on to star in a number of high-profile big screen features, such as “Old School,” “Elf,” “Anchorman,” “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” “Step Brothers,” “Stranger than Fiction,” “Blades of Glory,” “Semi-Pro,“ and “The Other Guys.”
Other films include: “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,” “Land of The Lost,” “A Night at the Roxbury,” “Superstar,” “The Ladies Man,” “Dick,” “Drowning Mona,” “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, “and “Zoolander.”
