In Memoriam: Paul Sorvino. Host Cindy Rhodes had the honor to interview in 2010 Mr. Sorvino and his daughter Mira Sorvino, as we remember the acting legend, who passed away on July 25, 2022.

In this third interview with Mira, she was joined by her father, actor Paul Sorvino. The two talked about working together, Paul’s side businesses, and how Paul didn’t want his children go into acting. In addition, they talked about diabetes and the former campaign they were promoting at the time, “Diabetes Co-Stars.”

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, Paul Sorvino, who has been in showbiz for over 50 years, is probably best known for his roles as Sgt. Phil Cerreta on “Law & Order” and Paulie Cicero in “Goodfellas.” Recently, he played Frank Costello on Epix’s “Godfather of Harlem.” Mr. Sorvino made his Broadway debut in the 1964 musical “Bajour,” while his first film as “Where’s Poppa?” Other film roles include “The Stuff,” A Touch of Class,” “Reds,” “The Rocketeer,” “The Cooler,” “Romeo + Juliet,” “Once Upon a Time in Queens,” “The Last Poker Game,” “Undercover Grandpa,” “The Bronx Bull,” “For the Love of Money,” “Kill the Irishman,” and “Nixon.” Mr. Sorvino also starred in the TV series “That’s Life,” “We’ll Get By,” “Bert D’Angelo/Superstar,” “Bad Blood,” and “The Oldest Rookie.” Beyond acting, Mr. Sorvino launched “Paul Sorvino Foods” in 2007, which marketed a range of pasta sauces. He was also part owner in Janson-Beckett Cosmeceuticals. Paul Sorvino passed away on July 25, 2022 at aged 83.
Born in Mew York City, Mira Sorvino is best known for films (both features and TV), such as “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion,” “Mimic,” “Lulu on the Bridge,” “The Replacement Killers,” “Summer of Sam,” “Like Dandelion Dust,” “Norma Jean & Marilyn,” “Trafficking,” “The Great Gatsby,” and “Mighty Aphrodite,” a film she won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. Along with starring in “Intruders,” she had recurring roles on TV series, including “Psych,” “Falling Skies,” “Stalker,” “Lady Dynamite,” “Condor,” “Modern Family,” “StartUp,” and “Impeachment: American Crime Story.”
