SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales interviews “Obi-Wan Kenobi” executive producer / writer Joby Harold and actor Rupert Friend about working on the “Star Wars” limited series.

Mini-Biographies:
Born in Cambridge and grew up in Stonesfield, Oxfordshire, Rupert Friend has been seen in films “The Libertine,” “Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont,” “Pride & Prejudice,” “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas,” “The Young Victoria,” “Starred Up,” “The Death of Stalin,” “At Eternity’s Gate, ” “The French Dispatch,” and “Hitman: Agent 47.” On TV, he had main roles in “Homeland” as Peter Quinn and “Strange Angel” as Ernest Donovan, as well as miniseries “Anatomy of a Scandal” as James Whitehouse. As the director, screenwriter and/or producer, Friend had two award winning short films: “The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers” and “Steve.” In music, he wrote lyrics for the Kairos 4Tet album, “Everything We Hold.” In Disney+’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” Friend plays Grand Inquisitor.
Joby Harold is a screenwriter, director and producer. Some of his works are “Awake,” “Army of The Dead,” and “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” (writer); “Edge of Tomorrow,” “My Blind Brother,” “Robin Hood,” and “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” (executive producer); and “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” (both writer and executive producer). On TV, Harold was the executive producer of WGN America’s “Underground” and Netflix’s “Spinning Out.” He is the executive producer and writer of Disney+’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Harold runs Safehouse Pictures, a company he-founded in 2005, with his producing partner, Tory Tunnell.
