SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro interviews actor Joe Morton and celebrity acting coach / casting director / producer Tracey Moore about their careers and the Crackle series, “Inside the Black Box,” an interactive interview show that spotlights the world’s greatest artists of color, from actors to producers to directors, writers, and musicians, and reflects on how one’s complexion impacted their journey to success in the entertainment industry.
Mini-Biographies:
Born in Harlem, New York, Joe Morton is a respected actor, who has been in some high-profile projects in films and TV. Some of his films include “The Brother from Another Planet,” “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” “Of Mice and Men,” “City of Hope,” “Lone Star,” Speed,” “Apt Pupil,” “What Lies Beneath,” “Ali,” “Paycheck,” “Stealth,” “American Gangster,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Justice League” and the expanded director version of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” Morton has had regular series roles and recurring parts in TV series, such as Eli Pope in “Scandal” (he won the Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series), Henry Deacon on “Eureka,” Hal Marshall in “Grady,” Raymond Geeter in “Watch Your Mouth,” Mike James in “Equal Justice,” Mitch Cotter in “New York News,” Daniel Golden in “The Good Wife,” Dr. Charles Richmond in “Proof,” Rev. Arthur Finer in “God Friended Me,” and currently as Teddy Franklin in “Our Kind of People.”
Tracey Moore is a celebrity acting coach, casting director, and producer. She was a producer on author Carl Weber’s several film projects: “The Man in 3B,” “The Preacher’s Son,” “The Choir Director,” and “No More Mr. Nice Guy.” Moore was the executive producer and host of “The Spirited Actor the Search for Africa’s Next Hollywood Star TV Show,” which aired in 98 countries in Africa in February 2013. She also directed HBO/BET’s Urbanworld Screenplay Competition. She is the host of “The Spirited Actor Podcast with Tracey Moore” on iHeartradio. She did casting on “Soul Santa,” “Barbershop 2: Back in Business,” “A Brother’s Kiss,” “New Jersey Drive,” and “Just Another Girl on the I.R.T.,” as well as extra casting on “Rebound: The Legend of Earl ‘The Goat’ Manigault,” “Girl 6,” and “New York Undercover.”
