In that interview that took place six weeks after she announced her retirement (she did return to WWE for the “2021 Royal Rumble”), they talk about her career, her favorite fellow wrestlers she has done matches with, and her advice for aspiring female wrestlers.
Mini-Biography:
Born in San Bernardino, California, Lisa Marie Varon is best known for the wrestling stage names Victoria on WWE and Tara on TNA / Impact Wrestling. Early in her career, she was competing in fitness competitions and won ESPN2’s “Fitness America Series.” On WWE, Varon made her first television appearance at “WrestleMania 2000” and went on to become a WWE Women’s Championship twice. In 2009, she left WWE and joined TNA (Impact Wrestling) as Tara. As Tara, she became a five-time TNA Knockouts Champion and a one-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion as TnT with Brooke Tessmacher. Announced her retirement in 2019, Varon returned to WWE after twelve years for the 2021 Royal Rumble.
