SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales welcomes Grammy Award winning R&B and soul singer and songwriter Chrisette Michele, who talks about her Christmas memories and working with Nick Cannon on the holiday film, “Miracles Across 125th Street.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in Central Islip, New York, and grew up in Patchogue, Chrisette Michele is a R&B/soul singer and songwriter. Her debut album, “I Am,” was released in 2007 with singles, “If I Have My Way,” “Best of Me,” “Be OK,” and “Love Is You.” Michele’s other album titles were “Epiphany” (2009) featuring the hit the album’s title track, “Let Freedom Reign” (2010), “Better” (2013), “Milestone” (2016), and “Out of Control” (2018). In 2009, she won a Grammy® Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for her song “Be OK” with will.i.am. Michele has appeared on several albums, including The Game’s “LAX,” Jay-Z’s “Kingdom Come,” Nas’ “Hip Hop Is Dead,” Eric Benét’s “Lost in Time,” Eve’s “Lip Lock,” Tyrese’s “Black Rose,” and Ghostface Killah’s “The Big Doe Rehab.” On TV, Michelle joined the cast of “R&B Divas LA” for its second season.
