SIDEWALKS east coast correspondent Angeleah Brice interviews actor Clint Smith (“48 Hours, ” Trading Places”), who talks about his friendship with Eddie Murphy, some of the projects he did with Murphy, and putting on the makeup to become Sweets on both “Coming to America” films.
Mini-Biography:
Clint Smith became best friends with Eddie Murphy during childhood. He appeared on NBC “Saturday Night Live” in various sketches and in movies such as “48 Hours,” “Trading Places,” “Airplane II: The Sequel,” and “The Firm.” Smith was the Vice President of Eddie Murphy Television, where they produced projects, including “The Royal Family,” “What’s Alan Watching?,” and the TV version of “Coming to America.” He is known for playing Sweets in “Coming to America” and recent sequel, “Coming 2 America.”
