Mini-Biographies:
Born in The Bronx, New York, Mary J. Blige is a global success story as a singer, who was once known as “The Queen of Hip Hop Soul.” Started out as a background singer, Blige released her first album, “What’s The 411?,” in 1992. Her other album titles include “My Life” (1994), “Share My World” (1997), “Mary” (1999), “No More Drama” (2001), “Love & Life” (2003), “The Breakthrough” (2005), “Growing Pains” (2007), “Stronger with Each Tear” (2009), “My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act 1”) (2011), “A Mary Christmas” (2013), “The London Sessions” (2014), and “Strength of a Woman” (2017). Blige has also worked as an actress with roles in films, such as “Prison Song,” “Rock of Ages,” “Betty and Coretta,” “Black Nativity,” “Mudbound,” “Trolls World Tour,” and “Body Cam.” She was nominated for an Oscar® and Golden Globe® awards as Florence Jackson in “Mudbound.” On TV, Blige played Cha Cha in Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy” and, currently, stars as Monet Stewart in the “Power” spin-off, “Power Book II: Ghost.”

Linda Goler Blount became the president and chief executive officer of the Black Women’s Health Imperative in February 2014. She has more than 25 years of experience in the public, for‐profit and nonprofit sectors, including tenures at United Way of Greater Atlanta and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
