Please note: In announcement made on October 21, 2020, Katzenberg’s Quibi is shutting down. The streaming service was in operation for over 6 months (launched April 6, 2020). Some of Quibi’s contents are being pitched to other services. The final date is set for around December 1, 2020.
Mini-Biography:
Born in New York City, Jeffrey Katzenberg is a producer and media mogul. As a producer, he was involved with many of the biggest animated movies, such as “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “The Lion King,” “Shrek,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “Madagascar,” “Monsters vs. Aliens,” and “How to Train Your Dragon,” just to name a few. His career started with Paramount Pictures, then later became a chairman for the Walt Disney Studios and a co-founder of DreamWorks SKG and DreamWorks Animation.
