Interview: Laurieann Gibson

Choreographer and creative director Laurieann Gibson has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry. Now, she is showing her skills to TV audiences in Lifetime’s new series “Laurieann Gibson: Beyond The Spotlight.”

Mini-Biography:
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Laurieann Gibson is a multi-talented performer: a choreographer, director, singer, actress and dancer. She has choreographed dance numbers for artists — from Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, JoJo, to Brandy, Nicki Minaj, and Beyonce — and has done choreography for movies, “Alfie” and “Honey.” As a director, Gibson helmed music videos, such as Keri Hilson’s “The Way You Love Me,” Jeffree Star’s “Love to My Cobain,” and Lady Gaga’s “Judas” and “You and I.” On TV, she was on MTV’s “Making the Band,” “Little Talent Show,” and “Skating with the Stars,” as well as being a “Fly Girl” on “In Living Color.” As a singer, Gibson released two albums: “Addictive” and “Last Chance.”
