Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Harry Connick Jr. is a true entertainer, from singer, actor to TV host. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Connick is ranked among the top 60 best-selling male artists in the United States. In his Wikipedia listing, it states he has sold over 28 million albums worldwide, had seven top 20 US albums, and ten number-one US jazz albums with his Christmas album, “When My Heart Finds Christmas,” as his best-selling album in the United States and “Only You” (2004) as his highest-charting album. As an actor, Connick has been seen in films, including “Memphis Belle,” “Copycat,” “Independence Day,” “Hope Floats,” “Basic,” “Bug,” “P.S. I Love You,” “New in Town,” and “Dolphin Tale.” On TV, Connick had recurring roles as Leo Markus on NBC’s “Will & Grace” and Executive A.D.A. David Haden in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” He was an “American Idol” judge on seasons 13-15 of the Fox version with Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.
