In this 2008 interview with SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes, Hugh Hefner talked about starting Playboy Magazine; his television series “Playboy After Dark” and reality series “The Girls Next Door” with girlfriends Holly, Bridget, and Kendra; and how “Playboy” has influenced our cultural fabric. Additionally, as part of the promotional tour, Hefner talked about winning the Lifetime Achievement Award from Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Chicago, the legendary Hugh Hefner has profoundly influenced society since the first issue of “Playboy” was published with Marilyn Monroe gracing its cover in 1953. Hefner was the founder, majority owner, and Chief Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises. He appeared in the successful reality show, “The Girls Next Door,” with his then-girlfriends Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson. Hefner died at his home in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles on September 27, 2017, at the age of 91.
