From Silicon Valley Comic Con, SIDEWALKS host Richard R. Lee talks to actor Sam J. Jones about getting into acting, working on films “Flash Gordon” and “Ted,” and what he does when he is not working.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sam J. Jones is best known for playing the legendary comic book hero on the cult classic film, “Flash Gordon.” His first film appearance was in the Blake Edwards-directed “10,” starring Dudley Moore, Julie Andrews, and Bo Derek. Some of his other movies include “Ted,” the sequel “Ted 2,” “My Chauffeu,” “Jungle Heat,” “Jane and the Lost City,” “In Gold We Trust,” “Maximum Force,” “ Fist of Honor,” “Hard Vice,” “ Enter the Shootfighter,” “Texas Payback,” “The Killer Inside,” “ Earth Minus Zero,” “Baja Run,” and “American Tigers.” On TV, Jones starred in “Code Red,” “Hollywood Safari,” and “The Highway Man,” as well as the lead role in TV pilot “The Spirit” and the HBO series, “1st & Ten.” He made guest appearances in TV shows, such as “Baywatch,” “Diagnosis Murder,” “Walker: Texas Ranger,” “Stargate SG-1,” and as prisoner Krebb in the TV series, “Flash Gordon.”
