Interview: David Alan Grier

An underrated actor who has been in almost everything, “In Living Color’s” and “The Carmichael Show’s” David Alan Grier is now hosting the game show, “Snap Decision,” which can bee seen on both GSN and in broadcast syndication on selected Tornante-Sinclair TV stations.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Detroit, Michigan, David Alan Grier has been a successful actor and comedian, who was named among Comedy Central’s list of the “Top 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.” He is known, of course, for his work on FOX’s “In Living Color,” where he played popular characters like “Men on…’s” Antoine Merriweather, Tiny, Mr. Brooks, Al MacAfee, and Calhoun Tubbs. On TV, he was a regular on the TV series “All Is Forgiven,” “The Preston Episodes,” “Damon,” “DAG,” “Life with Bonnie,” and “The Carmichael Show,” as well as host of Comedy Central’s “Chocolate News.” Grier appeared many times on “The Adam Carolla Show” and was a contestant during the 8th season of “Dancing with the Stars” (2009). He was Uncle Henry on “The Muppets’ Wizard of Oz” and played The Cowardly Lion / Robert The Farmhand Man #2 on NBC’s “The Wiz Live!,” a role he was nominated for a “Critics’ Choice Television Award” and “Black Reel Awards” and won a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special. Some of his movie projects include “A Soldier’s Story,” “Amazon Women on the Moon,” “Boomerang,” “Tales from the Hood,” “McHale’s Navy,” “The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle,” “Baadasssss!,” “The Woodsman,” “Bewitched,” “Little Man,” “The Poker House,” “An American Carol,” “Dance Flick,” “Peeples,” and “The Big Sick.”
