Interview: Michaela Watkins and Tommy Dewey

Our Lori talks to Michaela Watkins and Tommy Dewey about their past projects and one of the most memorable moments from their hit Hulu series “Casual,” including the infamous “The Rat King” episode.

In the extended interview, SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales talks to the series leads of Hulu’s “Casual,” Michaela Watkins and Tommy Dewey. Along with talking about specific episodes/scenes from “Casual,” the actors tell us about Dewey’s role in “The Mindy Project” and Watkins’ favorite moment on “Saturday Night Live.”

Mini-Biography:
Born in Syracuse, New York, Michaela Watkins was a regular on ABC’s “Trophy Wife” and a cast member of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” during the 2008 season. Some of her recurring roles was in “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “New Girl,” “Enlightened” and “Transparent.” Watkins was seen in films ”The Back-up Plan,” “Wanderlust,” “Enough Said,” “How to Be a Latin Lover,” and “The House.” She played Ivana Trump in “Donald Trump’s The Art of the Deal: The Movie” for Funny or Die.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Tommy Dewey is an actor, writer and producer. He is known for playing Josh Daniels in “The Mindy Project,” Dr. Mike Leighton on CBS’ “Code Black,” and Tommy Arondall on Verizon/go90’s “Now We’re Talking.” He was a regular cast member on short-lived series like The WB’s “The Mountain” and ABC Family’s “Roommates.” Dewey was a producer and writer for Fox’s “Sons of Tucson.” He made guest appearances on “Royal Pains,” “Hot in Cleveland,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Major Crimes,” “Melissa & Joey,” “CSI: Miami,” “Mad Men,” “Criminal Minds,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “What I Like About You.” His film credits include “17 Again,” “Step Up: Revolution,” “The Babymakers,” “I’m Reed Fish,” and “The Escort.”
