SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro talks to Tig Notaro about becoming a stand-up comic turned actress, her post career following cancer and a double mastectomy, and starring in her TV show, “One Mississippi.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Tig Notaro is a stand-up comic, writer, and actress. Her career started in the music industry, where she became a band manager under the name Tignation Promotion. Doing that led her on stage at comedy clubs. On TV, she has been featured on “Comedy Central Presents,” “The Sarah Silverman Program,” “Conan,” This American Life.” Notaro wrote and starred in a Kickstarter-funded series called “Clown Service.” In 2011, she released the stand-up album, “Good One.” She also starred in the 2015 documentary “Tig.”
