In Memoriam: The SIDEWALKS crew had the honor to interview Noel Neill, TV’s Lois Lane in the 1950s TV series “Adventures of Superman.” Take a look back at one of our interviews with the sweet and lovely actress.

At a WonderCon convention in 2006, the SIDEWALKS team had a brief opportunity to interview actress Noel Neill, who is best remembered as the second Lois Lane in the George Reeves-starred “Adventures of Superman.” With guest correspondent Nadine, Ms. Neill talked about the TV show and showed off her famous “S” outfit she wore at many conventions.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Minneapolis, Noel Neill is best remembered as the second Lois Lane on the 1950s TV series, “Adventures of Superman” starring the late George Reeves. Before the TV series, she played Lois in the two “Superman” serials: “Superman” (1948) and “Atom Man vs. Superman” (1950). As other characters, Neill appeared in various “Superman” productions, including the big screen feature “Superman” in 1978 with Christopher Reeve; “Superman Returns” with Brandon Routh in 2006; and a 1991 episode of the “Adventures of Superboy.” She also appeared in the 2004 independent film, “Surge of Power: The Stuff of Heroes.”

Neill started her career as a model then went intro acting and appeared in over 40 films, such as “Henry and Dizzy,” “Henry Aldrich’s Little Secret,” “Here Come the Waves,” “Over the Santa Fe Trail,” “Music Man,” “Adventures of Frank and Jesse James,” “The Sky Dragon,” “Abilene Trail,” “Forgotten Women,” “Whistling Hills,” and “Invasion U.S.A.” She had a recurring role as Betty Rogers in seven films, starting with “Junior Prom” and ending with “Campus Sleuth.”

Ms. Neill passed away on July 3, 2016.
