SIDEWALKS correspondent Lori Rosales interviews John Taylor and Simon Le Bon from the group Duran Duran. They talk about naming the group, their new album “Paper Gods,” and special guests on album.
Mini-Biography:
Formed in Birmingham, England, Duran Duran is a popular band, which found major success in the 1980s and 1990s with many top singles, including “”Girls on Film,” “”Hungry Like the Wolf,” “”Save a Prayer,” “Rio,” “”New Moon on Monday,” “”A View to a Kill,” and “”Come Undone.” The group was formed by keyboardist Nick Rhodes and bassist John Taylor. Other main members include guitarist Andy Taylor (1979–1986, 2001–2006) and lead singer Simon Le Bon, who joined a couple of years later. Roger Taylor (1979–1986, 1995, 2001–present) is part of the current team playing drums. Duran Duran is also known for their creative and landmarked music videos.
