At a preview of Wrestlemania in San Francisco, SIDEWALKS host Richard R. Lee talks to the WCW/WWE champion about his love of wrestling, his career highlight, and how he prepared to do matches on a continuous basis.
Mini-Biography:
From Houston, Texas, Booker Huffman, Jr is better known to wrestling fans as Booker T (and King Booker). Winning over 30 championships, he has been a part of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Some of his highlights include winning ten times as WCW World Tag Team Championship with brother Stevie Ray (real life brother Lash Huffman, majority as the duo Harlem Heat); six times as WCW World Television Championship; three times as WWE World Tag Team Championship and WWE United States Championship; and WWE’s King of the Ring in 2006. His signature move is the Axe Kick. Booker T is also founder/owner of the independent promotion, Reality of Wrestling (RoW). Recently, he was a WWE “Friday Night SmackDown” color commentator, the “SmackDown” General Manager, and currently appears as an on-air personality on the WWE Network programming. He was inducted into the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame.
