In HD, SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes talks to the actor about starring in WGN America’s “Manhattan” (playing Dr. Frank Winter, the lead scientist on the Manhattan Project), being known as a Tony Award® winner, how he got started in the business and his first paying gig as an actor.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Texas, John Benjamin Hickey is an actor on stage, film and television. He won a 2011 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play for his performance as Felix Turner in “The Normal Heart.” Along with the 1998 revival of “Cabaret,” Hickey played the role of Arthur in “Love! Valour! Compassion!” on Broadway and the 1997 film version. On TV, he was a regular on the short-lived comedy “It’s All Relative,” as well as appeared on “The Big C” and “The Good Wife.” Some of the films he appeared in include “The Ice Storm,” “The Anniversary Party,” “Flightplan,” “Finding North,” “Infamous,” “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Freedom Writers,” “Then She Found Me,” “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” “The Bet,” and “Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows.”
