Mini-Biography:
Born in Chicago, Allison Semmes is a rising actress /singer, who is making a name for herself as Diana Ross in the national tour of “Motown: The Musical.” Prior to the traveling tour in the Berry Gordy-written show, she played Florence Ballard in the Broadway cast of “Motown: The Musical” in New York. Semmes also was in the Broadway hit, “The Book of Mormon,” as well as the national tour of “The Color Purple.” Some of her regional credits include “Dreamgirls,” “Bubbling Brown Sugar,” “The Wiz,” and “Candide.” In 2018, Semmes is playing Carla Thomas / Jean Knight in “SOUL: The Stax Musical.”
