Taped on the night before the 2014 CMT Music Awards, SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes talks to the group about their start as a quartet, what are their memories of being at the CMT Music Awards, and who would they like to collaborate with.
Mini-Biography:
Founded in 1998, Little Big Town is Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. In 2002, the quartet released their self-titled debut, which was followed by 2005’s “The Road to Here,” 2007’s “A Place to Land,” 2010’s “The Reason Why,” 2012’s “Tornado,” and 2014’s “Painkiller.” Collectively, the group has earned more than 25 award show nominations and has taken home the award for CMA Vocal Group of the Year (2012 and 2013), ACM Top New Vocal Group, CMA Single of the Year (“Pontoon”), ACM Vocal Group of the Year, ACM Video of the Year (“Tornado”), a Grammy Award for Best Country Group/Duo Performance (“Pontoon”) and an Emmy award (Outstanding Original Song-“Good Afternoon”).
