Born in Norfolk, Virginia, John Wesley Shipp is an Emmy®-winning actor.

John started his acting career in daytime dramas: as Kelly Nelson on Guiding Light in 1980, as Douglas Cummings on As the World Turns in 1985, as Martin Ellis on Santa Barbara in 1987, as Blanchard Lovelace on One Life to Live in 1989, and as Carter Jones on All My Children in 1992.

He may be best known to prime time audiences as Barry Allen in The Flash (1990) and as Mitch Leery on Dawson's Creek (1998).

He also appeared as Lucky on Sisters (1994) and guest starred in such series as The Closer.

Taped at SuperCon in San Jose, California, host Richard R. Lee and John talk primarily about John's roles in The Flash and Dawson's Creek in this 2008 interview.
