Amanda talks about `Dear John`

Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Amanda Seyfried is an actress and former model.

She started her career by modeling at the age of 11. She soon turned to acting and landed her first contract role in 2000 as Lucy Montgomery on As the World Turns. In 2002, All My Children signed her to the contract role of Joni Stafford.

Amanda found major fame with "Mean Girls" and recently with "Mamma Mia!"

Other roles include "Nine Lives," "Alpha Dog," "American Gun," "Jennifer’s Body," and "Chloe."

On TV, Amanda plays Sarah Henrickson on HBO’s Big Love.
