Alison and her busy career as TV star and
mother
Born in Los Angeles, California, Alison Sweeney
is an actress and TV host.
Alison is best known for playing Sami Brady on
Days of Our Lives. She has been on the daytime
drama for more than 16 years and won numerous
awards, including The Soap Opera Digest Awards four
times (in 1986, '98, '99 and 2001) for the role of
"Favorite Villain" and the award for "Favorite Good
Girl" in 2001. Additionally, she won "America's
Favorite Villain" award at the 29th Annual Daytime
Emmy Awards.
In 2007, she started doing double duties on TV.
Along with her continuing role on Days, she
became the new host of season four of the reality
series, The Biggest Loser, in 2007. Her talk
show appearances include The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno, Today, Rachel Ray,
Ellen, and Access Hollywood.
In 2004, Alison became an author with the book, "All
The Days of My Life (So Far)," which gave a glimpse
into Alison's personal life by describing her
experience as a child actor, life on the set of
Days, painful high school memories and the
struggle to lose weight and keep it off.

professional career and
