Mario talks about future goals, how he
feels about Taylor Swift and his 4th album, D.N.A.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in
Pikesville, Randallstown, Gwynn Oak, Mario
(real name is Mario Dewar Barrett) is a POP/R&B
singer and dancer.
Discovered at age eleven, some of his
hit singles are "Just a Friend 2002" (2002), "Let Me
Love You" (2004), "Crying Out for Me" (2007), and
"Break Up" (2009).
Mario has released albums "Mario" in 2002, "Turning
Point" in 2004, "Go!" in 2007, and "D.N.A." in 2009.
In films, Mario has co-starred in "Step
Up" (opposite Channing Tatum
and Jenna Dewan), "Freedom Writers" (opposite Hilary
Swank, Scott Glenn and Patrick Dempsey) and
"Destination Fame."
On TV, Mario was a
contestant on season six of Dancing with the Stars
with dancer and previous Sidewalks guest,
Karina
Smirnoff.
