Born in Chicago, the legendary Hugh Hefner has
profoundly influenced society since the first issue
of “Playboy” was published with Marilyn Monroe
gracing its cover in 1953.
Hef is the founder, majority owner, and Chief
Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises.
In this 2008 interview with SIDEWALKS host Cindy
Rhodes, Hef talks about starting Playboy Magazine;
his television series Playboy After Dark and
current reality series The Girls Next Door
with girlfriends Holly, Bridget, and Kendra; and how
“Playboy” has influenced our cultural fabric.
Additionally, as part of the promotional tour*, Hef
talks about winning the Lifetime Achievement Award
from Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards.
