The Many Sides of James Franco
Born in Palo Alto, California, actor James Franco
is well-known as Peter Parker's best friend, Harry
Osborn, in the "Spider-Man" trilogy.
James’ portrayal of screen legend James Dean in the
telefilm of the same name brought him rave reviews,
Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards, and Emmy
and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
On television, James was one of the stars of
Freaks and Geeks. Some of his features include
"Pineapple Express," "In the Valley of Elah," "An
American Crime," "The Dead Girl," "Flyboys,"
"Annapolis," "Tristan + Isolde," "The Company," "The
Great Raid," "Sonny," "Deuces Wild," "City by the
Sea," and "Nights in Rodanthe."
James has written, directed and starred in several
short plays. With co-writer Merriwether Williams, he
adapted two of them, "Fool’s Gold" and "The Ape,"
into same-named independently produced feature films
that he directed and starred in. James' also
directed and starred in "Good Time Max."
