Harrison Ford comes
to `Sidewalks`
Actor Harrison Ford is considered one of the
biggest film stars in the business.
He is best known for playing Han Solo in the
original "Star Wars" trilogy, "Indiana Jones" in
that film series, and as Jack Ryan in "Patriot
Games" and "Clear and Present Danger."
Some of his long-list of film roles include
"American Graffiti," "Blade Runner," "Witness," "The
Fugitive," "Apocalypse Now," " Force 10 from
Navarone," "Presumed Innocent," "Air Force One," and
"What Lies Beneath."
In 1997, Harrison was the #1 star in Empire's "The
Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time" list.
In this 2010 interview with SIDEWALKS host Maaika
Westen. Harrison talks about being a carpenter
during his early showbiz career; he clears up the
internet misconception about whose cabinets he was
installing (between directors Francis Ford Coppola
and George Lucas); how he landed up auditioning for
the part of Han Solo in "Star Wars"; his reasons for
learning to fly planes; and his Environmental
causes.
As part of the promotional tour, he tells us about
starring and executive producing the CBS Films,
"Extraordinary Measures."
