Celebrity home
renovator and master carpenter
Paul DiMeo makes family’s dreams come
true each week on the ABC hit show, Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition.
A native
of Media,
Pennsylvania, the youngest son of five children
began his passion for home renovation at the age
of five after his home sadly burned to the
ground, sparking he and his father to embark
upon their own extreme makeover to
reconstruct their family home. Realized that his
true talent was helping other people, Paul
started "Loft Living" and began renovating lofts
and brownstones in New York City and Los
Angeles.
In this February 2008 interview with host Rafael
Siegel, Paul shares his very own cardiovascular
story and how he has made heart health a
priority. He displays the "Artery Explorer," a
motion simulator provided by the "Us Against
Athero Campaign" with which Paul is involved.
The campaign educates Americans about
atherosclerosis, the progressive build-up of
plaque in the inner walls of the arteries.
In this September 2006 interview with host Cindy
Rhodes, Paul talks about his participation on
the ABC hit series with co-star
Ty Pennington,
his Loft Living project, and the dangers of high
cholesterol, which he was diagnosed with in
2003.
