Jeff and Friends on his own TV series
Jeff Dunham is a ventriloquist and stand-up
comedian.
A native of Dallas, Jeff has been called “America’s
favorite comedian” by Slate.com and, according to
Pollstar, he is the top-grossing standup act in
North America.
Some of his infamous characters are Walter, Achmed
the Dead Terrorist, Peanut, Bubba J and José
Jalapeño on a Stick.
Jeff had three specials on Comedy Central: Jeff
Dunham: Arguing with Myself, Jeff Dunham:
Spark of Insanity, and Jeff Dunham's Very
Special Christmas Special.
In addition to ventriloquism and comedy, Dunham is a
life-long helicopter aficionado.
On Thursday, October 22, 2009, his weekly series,
The Jeff Dunham Show, premiered
on Comedy Central, which became the most-watched
series premiere in that cable network's history.
