Daughtry band members talk 2nd CD

Daughtry is a rock band featuring lead singer Chris Daughtry and current band members bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely.

Chris was a fourth-place finalist during season five of American Idol. When Chris signed with 19 Entertainment and RCA Records in 2006, a band was formed around him and used his last name as an easier name recognition, since fans already knew him from the popular TV competition series.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2006 and reached number one for two non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 and was named the number one selling album of 2007 by Billboard.

Some of Daughtry's singles, include "I
t's Not Over," "Home," "Feels Like Tonight," "No Surprise," and "What About Now."

In this 2009 interview with SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes, Chris and Brian discuss forming the band, Chris working on American Idol, and their 2nd CD, "Leave This Town," which was just released at the time.
