"Bree" wants you to be aware of
skin cancer
Born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, actress Marcia
Cross is best known for two roles in primetime
dramas: Dr. Kimberly Shaw on Fox's Melrose Place
and her current role as Bree Hodge on the ABC hit,
Desperate Housewives.
Marcia's first television job was on the daytime
drama The Edge of Night and later on One
Life to Live. She also guest-starred on CSI,
Touched By An Angel, Boy Meets World,
Ally McBeal, Spin City, It's Garry
Shandling's Show and Knot's Landing. She
had a co-starring role on
Everwood. Marcia's film credits include
"Living in Fear," "Dancing in September," "Always
Say Good-bye" and "Bad Influence."

Rhodes
speaks to the actress about fans watching TV dramas,
auditioning for the narrator role and not
originally Bree on Desperate Housewives, and
getting a master's degree in psychology before the
Housewives role.
As part of the promotional tour*, Marcia also
discusses the importance of skin cancer screening
and the “Skin Cancer Takes Friends” program, which
is a public service campaign that encourages women
and men to get regular skin cancer screenings.
