Her `Girl Power` continues with Fitness DVD
Born in Leeds, England, Melanie Brown (a.k.a.
Mel B) is a musical artist, actress, author,
television personality and entrepreneur.
For music fans, she is known as "Scary Spice," one of
the members of The Spice Girls, along side Victoria
Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri
Halliwell. As part of the popular female pop group, they released three
studio albums -- "Spice" (1996), "Spiceworld"
(1997) and "Forever" (2000) -- and a Greatest
Hit album (2007). In 2007, Mel reunited with the
Spice Girls for a world tour that banked more than
$70 million in gross ticket sales and was named by
Forbes magazine as one of the most successful tours
of the 2007-2008 seasons.
Melanie became a fan favorite as a contestant on the
United States version of Dancing with The Stars.
In 2004, Mel began to pursue her interest in theater
and starred as Mimi in the critically acclaimed
Broadway musical "Rent," followed by a starring role
in "Vagina Monologues." Mel penned her best
selling auto biography, "Catch A Fire."
In the UK, Mel continued to build career as a solo
artist, actress and host of TV programs including
This Is My Moment, Burn It, Top of the
Pops, Pure Naughty, Party in the Park
for the Prince's Trust, and The MOBO Awards,
which she has hosted three times, including 2008.
In the US, Melanie also starred in and produced The
Singing Office for the TLC network. Additionally.
she hosted the Miss Universe Pageant. Mel was
reporting for Access Hollywood as a special
correspondent for Dancing with the Stars and
other special assignments.

personality changed after becoming a member of The

tells us about her first series of Fitness DVDs,
"Totally Fit," designed to create an improved, and
