Amanda lends her voice to new campaign to help end teen dating violence

Born in Thousand Oaks, California, Amanda Bynes had her acting debut in 1996, when she auditioned for and got the role as a newcomer on All That (1994).

In 1999, 13-year-old Amanda was given her own variety show, The Amanda Show. In 2002, she co-starred with Frankie Muniz in "Big Fat Liar."

In 2002, she began co-starring with Jennie Garth in the comedy series, What I Like About You. In 2003, Amanda starred as Daphne, a girl searching for her father, in "What a Girl Wants." In 2004, she filmed "Love Wrecked" (2005).

She also won a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award, and, in 2003, Amanda won two KCA Awards.

In this 2008 interview with SIDEWALKS host Rafael Siegel, Amanda strictly discusses her participation as spokesperson with Mary Kay Inc. and their national campaign petitioning lawmakers nationwide to make domestic violence prevention awareness mandatory in schools.
