Sidewalks is proud to announce that William
Hodgson has returned to the show as a
videographer and editor
Graduated from San Francisco
State University in 1997, William Hodgson joined
the Sidewalks Entertainment team in March
of 1998.
William was a producer and editor for the
30-minute program, Dealing with Disabilities,
and the seven-minute segment called DUI:
Fatalities on the Highways. In addition
to San Francisco State, he attended the Academy
of Arts College in San Francisco pursuing a BFA
in Motion Picture Design. He also interned at
KPIX-TV, the CBS Network affiliate in San
Francisco.
Between 1998 - 2004, William worked for KCRT
Television, where he was introduced to the
Sidewalks project. Along with his
regular duties at KCRT, he
was one of the videographers
for Sidewalks' host segments and
celebrity interviews, and he edited a
number of episodes of Sidewalks:
Video Nite during the 1999-2000 season. Some
of the celebrities he recorded for Sidewalks
include Robert Englund, Pete
Escovedo, Floetry, John Tesh,
Green Day, Josh Groban and
Natalie Imbruglia.
Since 2004, William is a member of
the City of Fairfield's
Channel 26
television station. He has won the prestigious
Telly and Star Awards, including 2005 Telly
Award for the PSA, "Stop, Look, Cross" and the
2010 Telly Award for “Vince Webster: It’s My
City."
After a seven-year absence, William has returned
to the Sidewalks project.
