Interview: Tia and Tamera Mowry (2015)

Two of the first celebrity guests to appear on the early SIDEWALKS series, the Mowry twins returned for an interview together…20 years later. Host Cindy Rhodes once again talked to the former “Sister, Sister” stars about their kids book series.

In their third SIDEWALKS appearance, the sisters returned to the show to discuss their classic comedy “Sister, Sister” and if there’s a possible chance for a reunion show. In addition, Tia and Tamera discuss being authors of a children book series called “Twintuition.”

Mini-Biographies:
Born in Gelnhausen, West Germany, identical twin sisters Tamera Mowry-Housley and Tia Mowry-Hardrict became well-known for their starring roles in the classic comedy, “Sister, Sister.” They also starred in Disney Channel’s original movies “Twitches” and “Twitches Two”; Style Network’s reality series, “Tia & Tamera”; and Kids WB’s “Detention,” using their voices to play Lemonjella and Orangejella LaBelle. Tamera, who is the oldest by two minutes, is currently the producer and one of the hosts of the daytime talk show, “The Real.” She played Dr. Kayla Thornton on the medical program “Strong Medicine” and Hope Daniels in the short-lived sitcom “Roommates.” Tia was the star of The CW (then later BET) comedy “The Game” and can be seen in the Nickelodeon comedy series “Instant Mom.” In 2012, Tia published the book, “Oh, Baby: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another.”
