The man behind Pitbull

Pitbull (real name Armando Pérez) is recording artist and TV host.

In 2002, Pitbull was featured on Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz's album "Kings of Crunk." The next year his song "Oye" was featured on the soundtrack to "2 Fast 2 Furious."

Pitbull’s 2004 debut album "M.I.A.M.I." (Money Is A Major Issue) featured the hit single “Culo” and became the biggest-selling bilingual debut since Cypress Hill’s self-titled debut in 1991. His other albums are "El Mariel" (2006) and "The Boatlift" (2007).

Selling over a million albums throughout his career, Pitbull has had five subsequent chart-topping albums and a number of hit singles, including “The Anthem” and “Krazy.” He is considered the #1 Latin artist on MySpace.

Pitbull is also the host of his own Spanish-language program called Pitbull's La Esquina for the cable channel Mun2.

Recently, Pitbull has three Teen Choice Award nominations for Best Rap Artist, Best Rap/Hip Hop Track and Best Summer Song for “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” as well as winning the Billboard Latin Music Award for “Latin Digital Download Artist of the Year” for his hit single “Krazy.”
