"Sidewalks Entertainment" has been offered a second opportunity to interview international pop star BoA. The 22-year old is a major singing superstar and she’s the number one charting pop star from Asia who boasts nearly 20 million albums sold world wide.
Follow up:
Born in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, BoA, who was accompanying her older brother, was discovered at a talent search. After that, her life changed. In 2000, BoA released her debut Korean album, "ID; Peace B," at age 13. Following the success of her Korean album, her record company, SM Entertainment, made an arrangement with a Japanese label and released her debut Japanese 2001 album, "Listen to My Heart." As the years progressed and her popularity grew, she released more albums in both Korea and Japan, including "Valenti" (2003) and "My Name" (2004). Her popularity overseas is similar to how Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Beyonce are perceived in the United States. BoA has enjoyed a successful nine-year career in Asia where she has released eleven #1 albums.
BoA is gearing up to launch her brand new single, “I Did It For Love” with top US hit-maker, Sean Garrett. Recorded in Atlanta, GA with Grammy nominated Garrett, who is responsible for #1 hits by Beyonce, Fergie, Nelly, Ciara and more, “I Did It For Love” will be the launching pad leading into her self-titled album, “BoA,” set to arrive in stores on March 17, 2009 on SM Entertainment. The album will release worldwide on that day in the US, Korea and Japan.
BoA enlisted the help of top US and Asian hit-makers for her US album. Garrett returns with the club banger “Energetic.” Brian Kennedy, who has created hits for top recording stars including Rihanna, produced “Obsessed” while Henrik Jonback, brought his Pop expertise to the table with the chart topping “Eat You Up,” “Look Who’s Talking” and “Hypnotic Dancefloor.” Jonback, a new producer, has written several hits for Britney Spears including “Radar.” Bloodshy & Avant, who produced “Did Ya” and “Touched,” have produced several hits for Britney Spears, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Jordin Sparks, Kylie Minogue and more.
On October 25, 2008, BoA and her promotional company, SM Entertainment, granted "Sidewalks Entertainment" her very first United States television interview. Taped at the popular Union Square in San Francisco, the original interview quickly became the most popular viewed clip, only hours after its released on SidewalksTV.com (the previous record holder was the men from "Stargate: SG-1"). BoA fans from around the world were excited to hear the singer speak conversational English.

During the week of March 16th, "Sidewalks" is scheduled to interview BoA for her second appearance. Interviewed again by "Sidewalks" correspondent Christina Lee, the show is planning to have a segment block where questions will be from BoA fans.
Depending on time constraints and/or BoA’s availability, "Sidewalks" is considering asking around ten fan questions. Some questions may appear on the TV show and/or web site.
In the comment section below, please submit your question with your name and city and state. Not all questions submitted will be asked to BoA; please write direct questions and not a long letter to BoA (sorry, we won't be able to deliver a personal letter). Additionally, please give questions that would fit for a family-oriented TV program. We are looking for unique questions that the new and previous fans of BoA would enjoy being answered. The producers of "Sidewalks" and/or SM Entertainment may re-write some of the questions or summarized similar questions to fit the interview.
Write your questions now. We will only accept questions until Sunday, March 15th at 10PM (PST).
As promised, here’s your chance to ask BoA a question!
