Two more interviews from our recent WonderCon shoot. Today, we have actress / stuntwoman Zoe Bell and creator/writer Ed Brubaker on the 10-part mini-series “Angel of Death,” which has episodes premiering on-line on Sony TV's Crackle.com.

Follow up:

On the 10-episodes of “Angel of Death”, Zoe plays a remorseless assassin, Eve, who is employed by a ruthless crime family. After suffering a severe head trauma while on the job, she begins to hallucinate and becomes haunted by her victims. As a result of the injury, Eve is determined to make up for her past crimes by seeking revenge on those who ordered the hits in the first place -- her mob employers.

In addition to Zoe, the series also co-stars Doug Jones (“Hellboy”), Vail Bloom (“The Young and the Restless”) and Lucy Lawless (“Xena: Warrior Princess”), as well as Ted Raimi (“Xena: Warrior Princess”), Brian Poth (“CSI: Miami”), Justin Huen (“Weeds”), and Jake Abel (“Cold Case”).

In the interview, we discussed Zoe starting out as a stuntwoman. For three seasons, she was the stunt double for Lucy Lawless in “Xena: Warrior Princess.” Additionally, she was the stuntwoman for Uma Thurman in the "Kill Bill" films and will be a stuntwoman in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming “Inglorious Bastards” (starring Brad Pitt). Now acting, Zoe appeared in the leading role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Grindhouse.” She stars opposite Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore in “Whip It,” and is also starring in “Game,” with Kyra Sedgwick and Gerard Butler.

Ed Brubaker is one of the most acclaimed writers working in the comic world today whose credits include “Captain America,” “Criminal,” “Daredevil”. In the interview, we discussed working in comics and how he developed his first on-line film.

The episodes of “Angel of Death” are 8-10 minutes each and is premiering on Crackle.com until March 13, 2009. After its on-line broadcast, “Angel of Death” will be released in its entirety on DVD as a full length feature.

“Angel of Death” is directed by Paul Etheredge (“Buried Alive,” “Hellbent”) and produced by John Norris (“Buried Alive”). The series is a White Rock Lake Production, which will be distributed by Sony Pictures Television. White Rock Lake Productions is a joint venture from “The Incredible Hulk” and “War of the Worlds” character designer Aaron Sims and producer John Norris with a mandate to create fantastic content through feature film, video games, television and new media outlets.
