UPDATED! San Jose, California native Jessica Johnson has quickly made a name for herself.

She has extensive experience playing the Bay Area circuit at numerous venues. And, at just 19, she is a seasoned vet on the music scene. Jessica is comparable to artists like Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae, and like those singers, her bright, vibrant voice reaches all generations.

Jessica is vast becoming a household name in the San Francisco Bay Area, but before her life in the spotlight, she began her journey to stardom at the age of 5 in the San Jose Musical Theater. At the age of 8, she received formal vocal training. With the help of manager/mother Kathy Johnson, along with support from friends and family, Jessica landed some major gigs. One of them landed her at the Village's Golf and Country Club to a crowd of two hundred. She was a featured artist at Catalina's Jazz Club, Fairmont Hotel Lobby Lounge and the Octavia Lounge.

Jessica is also the recipient of many awards for best vocals and performance. Here are a few examples of Jessica's major accomplishments: winner of Marin Star Search, winner of 4 Grand Championship Awards at the California State Talent Competition, was a contestant on Apollo Amateur Night on Tour, and opened for Rose Royce at the Avalon Club.

Johnson is actively taking part in her career, working along side producer Tom Tomasello to tailor each song to fit her unique style and voice. Her debut CD, "Till it Happens to You" is a collection of jazz standards and originals produced by Johnson and Tomasello.
