In the beginning there was the newjack era, spanning from the late 80's-1998. And towards the end of the newjack age (1996-1998) artists such as Tamia, Mya, TLC, Brandy, Monica and Terry Dexter were dominating the teen R&B queen scene. But after Terry Dexter's debut album, she seemed to have faded from existence. That was not the case at all, and, in fact, she has been quietly working under the radar.
